Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations. Its roots lie in the traditions and ceremonies of the medieval stonemasons who built our cathedrals and castles. Chaggeley is a friendly lodge based at the Masonic Temple in Uckfield. We welcome new members and are happy to answer any questions anyone may have about our organisation. Our charitable giving and our rituals make us a unique fraternity. Steeped in history our secrets are stories that are fun to part of and offer historic insights.

We should have made this announcement sooner than this.

After due consideration and a lack of growth in the lodge, we've made the hardest decision and surrendered our lodge warrant back in 2025.

This means that the Lodge is no longer meeting and this page is no longer being updated.
