Unfortunately the Open Day at Nutley Windmill on 11th October has been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause anyone.

You can still go and visit the mill on most Wednesdays during maintenance hours from 11:00-15:00. The mill however will be closed to visitors on Wednesday 11th November. Be sure to visit our website to stay up to date with any future events at Bridge Cottage and Nutley Windmill www.uckfieldheritage.co.uk

⚜️ LIVE MUSIC AT BRIDGE COTTAGE ⚜️

Our next concert at Bridge Cottage will be the amazing Simon Stallard performing ‘Passages’.

Passages is a solo performance which weaves together history, folklore, and music, combining the tales of three sea voyages. Stories of wrecks, rescues and migration. Stories which show the wild elements and human spirit at their best, worst and most beautiful. Come for an evening of storytelling and songs and be transported.

We’re hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning today 10am-12pm. A great excuse to eat some delicious cake, have a coffee and chat to some lovely people, all for a fab cause! We hope to see you there 💚

⚜️ REMAINING OPEN DAYS AT NUTLEY WINDMILL ⚜️

There are only two more open days at Nutley Windmill, and you wouldn’t want to miss out!

⚜️ Sunday 27th September
⚜️ Sunday 11th October

Open times are 14:30 to 17:30, there is a voluntary donation of £5 per person, card payments accepted.

With sunny skies expected this weekend, make the most of it and come visit this beautiful Grade II listed working windmill built in 1700! All information about accessibility and parking can be found on our website www.uckfieldheritage.co.uk.

⚜️ We are open today 10am-2pm and will be joined by the brilliant Gallyard Tudor Dancers at 11am, it’s not to be missed! There will be the opportunity for a self-guided tour of the Cottage, with exhibitions and displays throughout. There will also be refreshments and children’s activities. Entry is free. Don’t miss out!⚜️

We’re very excited to welcome the Gallyard Tudor dancers at our Open Day this Saturday 19th at 11am ⚜️

This coming Saturday 19th September a few of the Gallyard Tudor Dancers will be at Bridge Cottage Uckfield in the morning to do some dancers and we are very much looking forward to the visitors joining in with us and having fun.

⚜️ HERITAGE OPEN DAYS THIS WEEKEND ⚜️

Wow! We have a great weekend planned at Uckfield Heritage. To celebrate Heritage Open days both Bridge Cottage and Nutley Windmill will be open for visitors for free.

⚜️ On Saturday 19th September 10am-2pm Bridge Cottage will be open for self-guided tours as well as light refreshments. There will be some small exhibitions and the chance to see this beautifully restored Wealden Hall House. And… at 11am we will be joined by the Tudor Gallyard Dancers!! There will also be fun activities for children.

⚜️ On Sunday 20th September 2:30pm-5:30pm Nutley Windmill will be open. Come see this fascinating and rare example of an open trestle post mill. Be sure to come along, as there’s only a few open days left for this season and you wouldn’t want to miss out!

⚜️ Our charity shop will be open on Saturday as well 9am-4pm. We’ve got some beautiful new arrivals as well as quality vintage clothes.

⚜️ART SALE & OPEN DAY ⚜️

Tomorrow to celebrate Uckfield Carnival we are opening up the Cottage and hosting another Art Sale!

The cottage will be open for anyone who wants to see this beautifully restored Wealden Hall House built in 1436. Self-Guided tour leaflets are available.

We will also be selling a selection of beautiful art and frames starting from prices as low as £1! There is something to suit everyone’s budget.

Refreshments and cake will also be available.
