Monday 8th June 2026.
Yesterday we started our new Wellbeing Walks. A chance for people to come together for a gentle walk, some conversation and a well earned cuppa at the end!
The purpose of the Wellbeing Walks are to link in with the 5 ways of wellbeing, which are:
1. Connect
2. Be active
3. Take notice
4. Learn
5. Give
This month we decided to do the ‘Art on your Doorstep’ trail which starts near Torquay Train Station, through King’s Gardens, around the grounds of Torre Abbey, along the seafront and ends by Torquay Harbour. It was great to learn a little bit about the artwork that has been installed whilst being out in the fresh air, moving our bodies and chatting to others along the way. That’s 4 out of the 5 ways of wellbeing ticked off straight away! 🤗
Give us a message if you’re interested in joining the next walk which will be on Monday 13th July. Meeting at 11am at the front of a Torquay Train Station (near the ticket office).
After our walk, we then went to see the Torquay Train Station Volunteers for a look at how the garden spaces are looking. It’s amazing what they have achieved over the last 3 years and the roses in particular are absolutely STUNNING!! 😍
