The Dartmoor Outdoor Festival is underway and there are walks, adventures and experiences happening all over Dartmoor! We led a wonderful Awe walk today from Widecombe-in-the-Moor and we're looking forward to leading a storywalk from Hound Tor tomorrow.

Do you visit Victoria Park in Paignton or Chapel Hill Woods in Torquay?

We’d like to know why you visit and value these parks, and your thoughts on how we could encourage more people to connect with, enjoy and benefit from these spaces.

It’s part of the first phase of a new project that’s funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund through the Torbay Heritage Place programme, called Health and Happiness in our Historic Gardens.

The aim of the project in the long-term is to improve the condition of and access to these gardens, connecting more people with their local heritage, and enabling more opportunities for our residents to enjoy and benefit from these spaces.

We have secured funding for phase one of the project so far, which is all about understanding more about the parks’ history, conservation needs, and what they mean to local people. Feedback gathered will then help inform plans and future funding applications for phase two of the project.

What an incredible 1st session we had at cycle forum! Where we heard from incredible organisations talking about the amazing work they do to help more people to start cycling; build confidence and skills and as a way to explore their local area, build friendships and community AND as a way into work! Phew!! Incredible! 💙🩵💚Thank you so much to The Cornwall Bicycle Project and Plymouth City Council for inspiring us!
