Now hiring - Callhandler, 12 hours a week for Torbay Community Helpline



The Helpline has become a ‘front door’ to the support services that are available in Torbay. Following consultation, the Torbay Health and Wellbeing Voluntary Sector Network decided to retain the Helpline to provide Covid-related, cost of living crisis and wider support.

Currently managed by Torbay Communities, the Helpline is now being staffed for the future and we seek some exceptional individuals to take this innovation forward alongside our Helpline Manger.

Our call handler post will answer calls from the public, record their details accurately and ensure they get passed onto the right triage worker to get them the support they need.

Deadline for applications: 5pm, Friday 14th August 2026

🌞 Torbay Food Alliance Summer Fest 🌞
A huge thank you to the amazing team at Torbay Community Café & Help Hub for preparing the delicious food for our Torbay Food Alliance Summer Fest. We are so grateful for the time, care and dedication of your wonderful volunteers. Special thanks to Sarah and the team for helping make the event such a success. 💚

It was wonderful to come together with our partners and colleagues, share ideas, celebrate achievements, and strengthen the relationships that help us support food security and community wellbeing across Torbay.

Events like these remind us of the power of partnership, volunteering, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a positive, inspiring, and enjoyable day.
