🌟 Helpline Team Visit to PATH torbay 🌟

The Helpline Team recently had the pleasure of visiting PATH in Torquay, a truly wonderful food bank located at 172 Union Street, and what an inspiring experience it was!

PATH is an incredible organisation that takes great pride in supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our community. From the moment we arrived, Kath and her amazing team of volunteers gave us such a warm and friendly welcome.

It was fascinating to learn just how well PATH is managed and to hear about the many different groups of volunteers who have come together over many years of building relationships. Their dedication and teamwork really shine through in everything they do.

We were especially impressed by the wide range of support available, including homemade sandwiches, as well as chilled, ambient, and fresh food supplies. The care and thought that goes into helping others are evident in every detail.

👏 To everyone at PATH, thank you for your hard work, commitment, and the incredible contribution you make to our local Torquay community. You are truly making a difference every single day.

We attended Exeter Community Initiatives' Volunteer Fair yesterday - this event was a great opportunity to network with our peers across South Devon and meet those interested in our volunteering opportunities.

Tune in to the Community Champions show tomorrow (21st April) 9-11am on Torbay Radio, when David will be hearing more about Time For You Torbay - a project aimed at giving unpaid carers a break for a few hours, with volunteers keeping their cared-for company during their absence.

The Helpline team attended the Falls Prevention session hosted by the Paignton Community Hub.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect with partners and the public, and to raise awareness of the support the Helpline offers.
