🌿 Park Yoga – Relaxed 🌿

Even beneath grey skies and gathering clouds, our community showed up this morning. 💚

Today we explored one of Park Yoga’s core values: Relaxed.

In a world that often encourages us to keep rushing, achieving and doing, we gave ourselves permission to slow down. To simply be.

To be present.
To be grounded.
To be connected.

Through a slow and gentle practice, we softened into the moment, letting nature hold us as we moved, breathed and rested together. The clouds above became a reminder that not every day needs to be bright and busy to be beautiful. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is space to pause, de-stress and invite in a little more calm and peace.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning and embraced the slower pace. It’s always so special to see our community coming together in nature, supporting one another and making time for wellbeing. 🌳✨

We look forward to doing it all again next Sunday at 9:30am on the South Lawn at Torre Abbey.

The forecast is looking promising with no rain expected (let’s keep our fingers crossed! 🤞🏼☀️)

This week we’re embracing one of Park Yoga’s core values: Relaxed.

In a world that often asks us to rush, Park Yoga offers an invitation to slow down. To step away from the busyness of the week, take a deep breath of fresh air, and enjoy a gentle hour of movement in nature.

Together we’ll move mindfully, connect with our breath, and create space to simply be. No pressure, no expectations, no need to be flexible or experienced — just an opportunity to arrive exactly as you are.

Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning for another Sunday morning practice, we’d love to welcome you.

Park Yoga Torquay – Week 5

What a beautiful morning on
The South Lawn today.

Week 5 of our 20-week season saw our numbers continue to grow, and it is such a joy to watch our community expanding week by week. Today, 211 people joined us on the grass to move, breathe, and enjoy the simple gift of practising together in nature.

We were delighted to welcome 6 people who had never tried yoga before and 13 people attending Park Yoga for the very first time. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or stepping onto a mat for the first time, you are always welcome here.

One of my favourite parts of Park Yoga is meeting the children who come along. Today I met Ilya, aged 6, and her little sister, Zara aged 5, who come each week with their nanny. They arrive with their own yoga mats and join in with such enthusiasm. There is something incredibly heartwarming about seeing the younger generation practising alongside their elders. Watching these connections grow through yoga fills my heart and reminds me what this community is all about.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported Park Yoga this morning. Thanks to your generosity, we received £185 in donations this week. Your kindness helps keep Park Yoga free and accessible for everyone, and we are so grateful.

We can’t wait to welcome you back next week for another morning of movement, connection, and community.

We can’t wait to welcome you back for another beautiful week of Park Yoga

This week’s theme is all about being in the present moment.

There’s a lovely quote that says:
“The future is imagination, and the past is memories.”

So much of our time can be spent replaying what’s already happened or worrying about what might come next. Yoga gives us the chance to pause, breathe, and arrive in the here and now.

By connecting to the breath and moving gently with awareness, we begin to notice what’s happening in this moment — the feeling of the grass beneath us, the warmth of the sun, the sound of the birds, and the simple experience of being alive.

Because really, the present moment is where we meet life.

As always, Park Yoga is open and accessible to everybody, whatever your age, experience, or ability. Come exactly as you are.

☀️ What a morning ☀️

Almost 200 people joined us for Park Yoga this morning in the glorious sunshine, coming together to move, breathe, connect, and share in one of our core Park Yoga values — JOY 💚

Today’s practice was a gentle reminder that joy can be found in the simplest moments:
✨ moving our bodies outdoors
✨ feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin
✨ seeing smiles across the park
✨ taking a deep breath beneath the trees
✨ connecting with community in nature

We explored the importance of smiling during our practice, letting go of ego, softening expectations, and not taking ourselves too seriously. Yoga doesn’t need to be perfect — sometimes joy is simply showing up exactly as you are.

It’s so special watching these sessions continue to grow and hearing so many positive experiences shared at the end of class each week. Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning and helped create such a beautiful atmosphere 🌿

With glorious sunshine forecast and temperatures looking beautiful, this Sunday’s session is set to be such a joyful morning together in nature 🌿

This week we’re leaning into one of Park Yoga’s core values — JOY 💚
Creating space for those simple, special moments that help us feel lighter, calmer and more connected. Moving our bodies outdoors, feeling the warmth of the sun, breathing fresh air, and sharing smiles with our community really is such a powerful way to start the day.

Whether you come alone, with friends, little ones or family, everyone is welcome. A gentle reminder that Park Yoga is for everyBODY — no experience needed, just come as you are ✨

With the warm weather please remember to bring:

Week 2 of Park Yoga was incredible 🌞

157 of you came to practise with us in the sunshine, and we honestly can’t thank you enough. There was something so special about standing together with our feet on the earth, beneath a cloudless sky, with the warmth of the sun pouring down on us.

Moments like this remind us how powerful community, nature, movement and breath can be. Yoga gives us the opportunity to pause, reconnect, and find a little more peace within ourselves.

Thank you for showing up, for sharing your energy, and for being part of something so beautiful. It truly means the world to us
