WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY – 5 JUNE

🌍 Caring for Our Planet, Serving Our Communities

As Lions, we are committed to protecting the environment for future generations. Through tree planting, community clean-up projects, recycling initiatives, and environmental education, Lions work locally and globally to create healthier, greener communities.

World Environment Day reminds us that every action counts. Together, we can reduce waste, conserve resources, protect wildlife habitats, and inspire others to care for our shared home.

Lions Serve. Lions Care. Lions Act.

πŸ’š Plant a tree
πŸ’š Reduce pollution
πŸ’š Conserve water
πŸ’š Protect nature
πŸ’š Build a sustainable future

β€œWhere there’s a need, there’s a Lion.”

Together, we can make our world greener, cleaner, and stronger for generations to come@

As we celebrate Volunteers Week we want to say an enormous THANK YOU to everyone who has volunteered with us over the past year. Whether at a village fete, a Christmas fayre, our annual Fireworks display or our Christmas and Easter Collections we couldn't help people in our community of Swindon, Wroughton, Royal Wootton Bassett, Purton and surrounding villages without YOU and your support.
THANK YOU so much πŸ’“

A huge thank you to for their recent donation of £1,000 to the Meadows Unit at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust 🩷

Swindon Lions are very grateful to those who made this possible: the customers and staff at 6 local pubs who took part in the Swindon Lions’ 2026 Easter Egg raffle. Thank you to The Plough Inn, Wanborough, The Wichel, The Royal Oak, The Blunsdon Arms, The Hop Inn and The Tawny Owl.

Swindon Lions Club is made up of ordinary people from all walks of life who want to help others and support good causes. You may know of the club through its annual firework spectacular staged at the Polo Ground or from the Christmas collections held outside supermarkets in Swindon on December weekends. These fundraising activities enable the club to do much more in our community.

πŸŽ† You will be able to support Swindon Lions on 7th November when they celebrate with their 50th firework display!

Lions Kim and Andi spent a few hours helping Swindon Food Collective on Friday at Asda Orbital.
Last year SFC provided over 90,000 meals with demand increasing
If you can, consider putting a can or two in the food bank trolley at your local supermarket next time you are shopping. It is very much needed
