Swindon Breastmates This page provides information about local infant feeding support, in and around Swindon. In fact you don't even need to be breastfeeding, yet.

If you wish to access online feeding support, please request to join our private group, 'Swindon Breastmates (Breastfeeding Support)'. Swindon Breastmates is a network of free breastfeeding support groups, run by NHS Swindon in association with the NCT, in children's centres, across Swindon and the surrounding area. They are informal drop-in groups, run by mums who are not only trained in breastfe

eding support, but who have breastfed, or in most cases who still are breastfeeding, their own children. You don't have to be having any breastfeeding problems in order to attend. Pregnant women are not only welcome, but positively encouraged, to come along and ask any questions they may have on the subject. And what's more, there is usually cake. Other breastfeeding support available, all free of charge for everyone:

• Antenatal breastfeeding workshops - ask your midwife for more details
• Breastfeeding support at the hospital by trained volunteer breastfeeding supporters - watch out for the ladies in lilac!
• Local NCT trained breastfeeding counsellors who can support you over the phone and in person.

Breastmates, at Community Centre at Christ Church Swindon, from 12pm until 2pm, with Lynette from Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind, coming along to chat about mental health support, available locally

Devizes, Melksham and Calne Breastfeeding Support, at the Lansdowne Strand, in Calne, from 1pm until 2:30pm

Wednesday 2nd- Breastmates, at Community Centre at Christ Church Swindon, from 12pm until 2pm, alongside Lynette from Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind, chatting about mental health support, available locally

Wednesday 2nd - Bassett Breasties at the Croft Church, in Royal Wootton Bassett, from 1pm until 3pm

Wednesday 2nd - Devizes, Melksham and Calne Breastfeeding Support, at the Lansdowne Strand, in Calne, from 1pm until 2:30pm

Other than Elena's Open House all groups are run as drop-in sessions, with no need to book. But if you need support, please do try to arrive at least half an hour before the group finishes, to ensure you have time with a supporter.
