We are super excited to be bringing Corinne Harragin Corinne Harragin storytelling back to Swindon after her exceptionally popular performance in 2024!

Troubled Waters has been described by audiences as ‘delicious’, ‘captivating', ‘sexy’ and ‘brilliant’, this adult spoken-word storytelling show explores our connection to waterways, wetlands and their inhabitants.

Leaping salmon, fishtail women, mythical raves and sacred springs – these freshly told legends celebrate all those who question the fixed and find their own flow. Reviewed as 'genuinely very funny... Our next event is Prophecy of Merlin by Mike O'Connor and Barbara Griggs.

The year is 936. The Dargan a Verdhin (Prophecy of Merlin), an ancient and precious Cornish book, is an icon of Cornish nationhood. Stolen by Saxons, its message suppressed, it lies in a monastery at Exeter.

But then Saxon King Athelstan, hungry for land, purged Exeter of the Cornish. At once Britons beyond the Tamar become refugees...

Follow their path to freedom, secretly bearing a priceless treasure; beset by danger, but sustained by the land and its legends.

Show also includes a talk about the real life events that inspired this epic tale.

In Storms and Silver Hands, storyteller Hannah Moore weaves the fairy tale of The Handless Maiden with true and traditional stories from around the world – stories that can make us wonder at our human capacity for restoration, empowerment, agency and hope. This dark and starry adventure considers what it means - out of the soil of troubled times - to grow back wild and full of wonder, and explores the themes of power, repair, aid and regrowth. An evening of tales and songs, and questions for the nightingales in the branches of your heart.
