Sending my thank you to everyone who supports us as a volunteer or fundraiser, during Volunteering Appreciation Week.
Everyone who works so hard to ensure the smooth running of Swindon & Devizes Sands are all parents or family members who have suffered pregnancy or baby loss, and they give their free time to support others however they can.
This could be by...
💜 Being on our general charity committee; overseeing the day to day running of the charity, planning events and doing all of the behind the scenes things that no one thinks about,
🧡 Being a befriender; supporting parents in need during our support meetings, and being on the end of a phonecall, email or DM,
💜 Being on our ball planning committee; this event really is the finale of 18 months of hard work, so many emails, and hours of wrapping, setting up and running around,
🧡 Gardening; helping us keep our baby gardens tidy for everyone to enjoy,
💜 Fundraising; this could be giving your time to decorate your house, train for and run half marathons, shave your head, organise bake sales, etc
🧡 And so much more...
So, on behalf of the committees and befrienders teams, I would like to say a huge thank you for giving your time and support to us and the families we support.
