Clean and Green Pallion

We have been carrying out litter picks across Blackie Park, Hylton Road Playing Fields and Ford Quarry. Lots of litter collected. As the vegetation accelerates in growth we will be doing more strimming and vegetation maintenance to keep the Pallion ward looking its best.

Out this afternoon litter picking around Hylton Road Playing Fields. It’s for the rest of the week so we are doing our part with our volunteers 😊

There’s been a fly tip over there that we will sort out shortly. It was to big for our truck this time 🙈

We'll be joining our colleagues from other clean & green projects on Thursday 19th March to do a litter pick around Thorney Close, Silksworth and the A690. We're meeting up at 10am in McDonald's Carpark, please come and join us and help tidy up our local area. All equipment will be provided

We put out lots of new plants into the troughs and boxes on St Luke's Terrace last week which will provide lots of bright colours as we move into the darker months. Thanks to Bishopwearmouth Garden Centre for the plants! 🌿🌺

We have been keeping busy doing a lot of painting around Pallion, focusing on fences, gates, and electrical boxes to improve the appearance of the streets. We've been litterpicking and removing graffiti all around and making real progress on improving the areas for everyone to enjoy!

We have been keeping busy around Pallion updating the paint on many of the green electrical boxes, collecting litter, reporting fly tipping and cutting back vegetation.
