The LIGHT The Light has a clear philosophy to help those less fortunate become more fortunate. Our mission is simple, to support underprivileged children around BD

Our aim:

☆ To educate the rural people who are helpless - some are in child labour, we will make sure they get their fundamental rights and we will provide their monthly educational expenses, especially to the orphan children. Education is a fundamental right, however there are millions of children who are denied that right.

☆ To eradicate unemployment problem - offering some courses such as computer course, sewing course can reduce poverty and inequality, as it provides people the opportunity to provide for themselves and their children

☆ To give our society the best service they deserve such as hygienic water, medical aid, disability support etc.

☆ Distribute clothes in remote areas in Bangladesh, particularly winter clothes. In the month of Ramadan, we will endeavour to provide Ramadan food pack and Eid gifts.

☆ If we have enough funds available then we will offer an interest free loan for those interested in developing themselves professionally

☆ To arrange inspirational events for the children here in the UK so they get to know Bangladesh much more and to raise awareness of the social issues that exist

It will not stop here. We will come forward in any emergency, we promise.

🌟 Empowering Family Futures Project 2026 🌟

We are proud to share a glimpse of the charity work carried out by The LIGHT through our Empowering Family Futures Project 2026.

This project is about more than providing support — it is about bringing hope, strengthening families, and helping people build a brighter and more sustainable future.

Through the generosity of our supporters and the dedication of everyone involved, we have been able to reach families in need and provide practical assistance, encouragement, and opportunities for positive change.

Every contribution matters. Every family supported matters. Every act of kindness can make a lasting difference. 🙏

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers, donors, supporters, and community members who continue to stand with us. Your support helps us turn compassion into action.

Together, we can continue to empower families, strengthen communities, and light the way towards a brighter future. ✨

For some, Eid begins with your Qurbani !

You may never meet the families who wait all year for someone to send them meat on Eid.

You may never see the tables that sit empty… or the relief your sacrifice brings.

But Allah (SWT) reminds us:
“Neither their meat nor their blood reaches Allah, but it is your piety that reaches Him.” (Qur’an 22:37)

What reaches Him is your intention.
What reaches them is your Qurbani.

This Eid, let your sacrifice cross borders, reach hearts, and become a meal they’ve been waiting all year for.

Book your Qurbani today 🙌
