The LIGHT The Light has a clear philosophy to help those less fortunate become more fortunate. Our mission is simple, to support underprivileged children around BD

Our aim:

☆ To educate the rural people who are helpless - some are in child labour, we will make sure they get their fundamental rights and we will provide their monthly educational expenses, especially to the orphan children. Education is a fundamental right, however there are millions of children who are denied that right.


☆ To eradicate unemployment problem - offering some courses such as co

mputer course, sewing course can reduce poverty and inequality, as it provides people the opportunity to provide for themselves and their children


☆ To give our society the best service they deserve such as hygienic water, medical aid, disability support etc.



☆ Distribute clothes in remote areas in Bangladesh, particularly winter clothes. In the month of Ramadan, we will endeavour to provide Ramadan food pack and Eid gifts.

☆ If we have enough funds available then we will offer an interest free loan for those interested in developing themselves professionally


☆ To arrange inspirational events for the children here in the UK so they get to know Bangladesh much more and to raise awareness of the social issues that exist


It will not stop here. We will come forward in any emergency, we promise.

Alhamdulillah A decade of The LIGHT — thank you for your enormous support and for helping to make this organisation what it is today.

Over the years, we have given Food packs during Ramadan and Eid clothes to the poor people, Blankets in winter, Qurbani Project, Flood Relief, Deep Tubewell Project, Educational Materials for students and Quran Training Courses in underprivileged areas etc.

I believe we have done a lot in this period
of time. We could not have done this without the
support we have been getting from everyone of yous.

In sha Allah this cotinues to thrive throughout
the future so we can give a little happiness to
those who are less fortunate than we are.

Did we know? Sadaqatul-Fitr is a small amount of food to be given in charity at the end of Ramadan, before the Eid prayers. This charitable contribution is separate from the annual payment of Zakat, which is one of the pillars of Islam. Unlike Zakat, which is calculated annually as a percentage of extra wealth, the Sadaqatul-Fitr is to be paid equally by every Muslim man, woman and child at the end of Ramadan.​

Bringing Light to Sunamganj this Ramadan 🌙✨
We are humbled to share that The Light has successfully completed the distribution of Ramadan food packs in a village in Sunamganj.
Thanks to your generous support, around 70 families received essential supplies to sustain them through the holy month. Each package was carefully prepared with rice, oil, onions, potatoes, lentils, salt, sugar, and more.
May Allah (SWT) reward every donor who made this possible. Your contribution is more than just food; it is a message of hope and solidarity to those in need. 🤲

Alhamdulillah once again the Holy month of Ramadhan is here. The time to give to those who are less fortune than us, time to reflect on ourselves and strengthen our imaan.

This year our target is to help 200 families. Feed a family for the whole month - only for £20.

We always ensure that 100% of every penny given to The Light goes directly to those in need In Shaa Allah.

With your money, The Light will carefully select an animal for you and distribute the meat to the destitute children, widows and orphans in a remote area of Bangladesh.
