Would you like to learn the art of willow weaving?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be interested in an exciting opportunity with Bright Lights Youth Arts Festival.
Thanks to funding from Sunderland Culture, we are offering 6 home-educated young people the chance to take part in a hands-on, nature-based creative session.
๐ฑ Whatโs happening? ๐ฑ
On Thursday 26th February, from 10:00amโ12:30pm, weโll be working with Ruth from Sylvan Skills to build a willow dome in Mowbray Park Community Garden.
This is a wonderful opportunity for older home-educated young people to enjoy independent, outdoor learning, develop practical skills, and contribute something lasting to a much-loved community space.
๐ฑ Places ๐ฑ
This is a small group session with only 6 places available. These will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The first 6 emails we receive will have a registration form emailed out to them.

๐ฑ What you need to know ๐ฑ
Please arrive promptly at 10:00am.
The session will finish at 12:30pm all young people must be collected at this time
๐ฑ What to bring ๐ฑ
โ๏ธDress for the ever-changing Northeast weather!
๐Clothes and footwear should be suitable for mud and digging
๐งA water bottle (we can provide refills)
๐ทโโ๏ธ This will be an active, hands-on session โ expect a bit of hard work, heaps of fun and lots of fresh air.
