Give it a read guys 👀👀👀
Funding from the Million Hours Fund has helped us to strengthen, sustain and expand youth work provision across four areas of Sunderland: Ryhope, Sandhill, Washington North and Hendon. This investment has allowed us to work with our member organisations who are delivering vital youth work in their communities.
Through this funding, we are working with Oxclose and District Young Peoples Project in Washington North, Community Opportunities - YOUTH & PLAY in Sandhill, Bluewatch in Ryhope, and Back on the Map, Sunderland Community Action Group, and Fitty Friday in Hendon. Each of these organisations plays a crucial role in creating safe, inclusive and supportive spaces for young people, helping them to build confidence, develop skills, improve wellbeing and access positive opportunities.
The impact of this funding goes beyond individual projects. It helps strengthen the wider youth work provision across Sunderland, encourages collaboration between organisations, and ensures that young people in some of the city’s most disadvantaged areas can access consistent, high-quality youth work.
Thanks to the government and The National Lottery Community Fund for making this possible.
