ICOS is a peer-run organisation which supports 2000 migrants/year, including 600 through intensive one-to-one help with accessing appropriate benefits/housing/services, and many more through wellbeing activities and volunteering. We

Join us on Saturday 4th July for an exciting day of discovery at The Dove Marine Laboratory!
We will enjoy:

πŸ¦€ Rock pooling along the rocky shore to explore local wildlife
🚌 Free minibus transport provided
Departure: 10:15am from ICOS Office, 14 Foyle Street, Sunderland, SR1 1LE

What has been going on in our ICOS Community?

Since the last newsletter we have:

β€’ We have dealt with 91 queries, ranging from support housing support (including support with Council Tax, and support surrounding employability (accessing employment and training).
β€’ Our one to one activities have engaged with 1 new client- from Pakistan.
β€’ We have organised a number of activities, improving social inclusion, wellbeing, intercultural understanding, and helping the environment in the local area. Including 4 environmental activities, including clean ups and maintenance activities, centered on Backhouse Park, Sunderland, and the wider St Michael’s ward area.
β€’ We have provided 11 families with material support or external referrals to access free clothing and food, and external grants, as well as energy and food vouchers and free sim card.
