🍎🥕 Could you be eligible for NHS Healthy Start? 🥛👶
If you're more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4 years old, you may be able to get help towards the cost of healthy food and milk through the NHS Healthy Start scheme.
If you're eligible, you'll receive a prepaid card that can be used to buy:
✅ Milk
✅ Fresh, frozen and tinned fruit and vegetables
✅ Pulses such as beans, lentils and chickpeas
✅ Infant formula milk
You may also be able to get free Healthy Start vitamins.
Many families are missing out on the support they are entitled to, so it's worth checking if you qualify.

Do you use NHS patient transport services?
The North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) is working with the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS and partners to review NHS patient transport services in the North East.
Patient transport helps people get to and from hospital if they cannot travel safely on their own because of their health or mobility needs.
Feedback indicates the service does not always work well, with people saying waits can be long and the rules are not always clear and services can be different depending on where you live.
The ICB are looking at ways to improve the service and proposing some changes to the rules of who can use the service in line with NHS England guidelines.
Healthwatch South Tyneside is helping to make sure users of the service can have their say.
If you do use the Patient Transport Service, you can have your say now. Complete the ICB’s survey online.

A huge thank you to Centrepiece for the beautiful floral arrangements and display. The elegant combination of purple and white flowers, together with the rustic wooden centrepiece, created a stunning focal point for our tables and added the perfect touch to the occasion.
Your attention to detail and creativity helped make the room feel welcoming and special, and we received many compliments on the décor throughout the event.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today to celebrate 40 years of WHIST and the launch of our Heritage Project.

It was wonderful to come together, reflect on our journey, share memories, and look ahead to the future. Your support, enthusiasm, and contributions have helped make WHIST what it is today.

We would also like to thank Jude for introducing the Heritage Project and everyone who has already expressed an interest in getting involved.

Today's celebration was a reminder of the strength of our community and the difference we can make when we work together.
