Sara’s daughter, Alice, was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), a soft tissue cancer, when she was three.

Alice died two weeks before her eighth birthday. Inspired by her daughter’s questions about the lack of new treatment options, Sara has dedicated herself to changing the story for children like Alice. Sara co-founded Alice’s Arc, a children’s charity funding vital RMS research and supporting families affected by the disease.​

Now, Sara is also a patient advocate for our Cancer Grand Challenges NexTGen team, helping shape the development of new T-cell therapies for children with solid tumours ✨
