NEW SEWING SKILLS PROGRAMME – JOIN THE WAITING LIST!

Would you like to learn how to sew, improve your existing skills or progress into dressmaking?

Diversity House is introducing new structured, tutor-led sewing courses across three practical levels:

✂️ Level 1 – Basic Sewing Skills
🧵 Level 2 – Alterations and Repairs
👗 Level 3 – Introduction to Dressmaking

A short skills assessment will help us identify the most appropriate level for you.

✅ Equipment provided free of charge
✅ Materials available at a discounted rate
✅ Certificate upon successful completion
✅ Approximately eight places per course

BIG NEWS: The Voices of Community Podcast & Music Studio is officially open!

Today, Diversity House launched an exciting new creative space where people can share their stories, express their talents, learn new skills and make their voices heard.

The studio will bring together young people, women, community members, creatives, artists and partner organisations through:

1. Podcasts
2. Community stories
3. Music and creativity
4. Interviews and local spotlights
5. Media, podcasting and digital-skills workshops
6. Collaboration and empowerment

This is more than a recording studio, it is a platform for real people, real experiences and conversations that matter.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life, and to National Lottery Community Fund and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government for supporting the initiative.

Drumming, dancing, creativity and community!

We had such a wonderful time at our Service User Celebration Day at Diversity House.

Our service users, families, staff and volunteers came together to enjoy African drumming, dancing, arts and crafts, laughter and meaningful conversations.

It was a beautiful celebration of the people, cultures and experiences that make our community so special. Seeing people of different ages and backgrounds participating together reminded us of the power of inclusion, friendship and belonging.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so joyful. Our service users are at the heart of Diversity House, and this special day was all about celebrating you!
