A few photos from last week’s Dinner.

It was a good one. Full room, no awkwardness, just people settling into conversations easily, which is usually the sign these things are working.

It was particularly good to see more younger groups this year; it changes the feel of the evening straight away.

The Headteacher's school update struck the right note providing an upbeat, clear sense of what’s happening and where our OBA support actually makes a difference.

Also worth saying: the food was properly good. Not “fine”, not “for an event”, just good food, served well and we're grateful to the catering team once again.

And in the background, the evening did what it’s meant to do, raised money that goes straight back into the school. In part thanks to another successful auction of school ephemera for which our thanks to the team at Borden Grammar School for raiding the archives.

If you’ve been thinking about it but never quite got round to booking, next year’s an easy one to fix.

Final preparations underway for Saturday's OBA Annual Reunion & Dinner in the 1928 Hall.

We've reached capacity this year, which is encouraging, and a good reminder that the Association is only as active as the people who choose to stay connected to it.

If you're not yet a member, it takes a couple of minutes to join (free, lifelong), and it's the simplest way to stay in the loop for future events and to support what we're doing with the School.

We'll share a few moments from the evening over the weekend.

Bar from 6pm, dinner at 7:15pm. Three courses, speakers, auction, and plenty of time to catch up with people you haven’t seen in years (or decades).

£32 per person. Booking in advance required.
