Est in 1994, Home-Start Sittingbourne & Sheppey are a family support charity.

We recruit and train local volunteer mentors so they are able to provide emotional and practical support to local families.

We are in the process of moving offices and have furniture available for free for anyone who needs it. We have three desks, two small chest of drawers and two filing cabinets. Photos are attached, collection only on 26th or 27th October. Please message us if you're interested.

Today is World Mental Health Day

Family life is full of wonderful moments, but we know it can have its tough days too. Sometimes, simply having someone there to listen can make all the difference.

Today, we want to remind every parent and carer that looking after you matters too. Take a moment for yourself, talk to someone you trust, celebrate the little wins and remember that asking for support is a sign of strength.

Today is for all the dads, stepdads, grandads, foster dads, bonus dads and father figures helping raise little ones ❤

The people doing nursery runs, building blanket forts, reading bedtime stories, making snacks and showing up day after day — even when they’re exhausted.
For many children, it’s not about perfection. It’s about feeling safe, loved and cared for.
