PLAY, PLAY and MORE PLAY!!! 🤩🤩🤩 This week we are celebrating Sheffield Week of Play and all the brilliant things that happen when children and young people have the time, space and freedom to play.

South Yorkshire’s Mayor has set up a charitable fund focused on supporting exceptionally gifted and talented young people living in South Yorkshire, aged between 11 and 19, to help remove barriers stopping them from achieving their potential. Applicants should be from family units who qualify for Free School Meals, or where Universal Credit is the main source of income. Grants can be between £2,000 - £10,000. Deadline Friday 4th December

We are South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation (SYCF) and are here to support and build strong, resilient communities across the region.

A massive shout out from all of us at ACCT to the excellent Team ACCT runners who took on the Sheffield 10k challenge and between them raised a fantastic £4,850 for ACCT. 🤩

If you are interested in running for Team ACCT, we'll be doing it all again in 2027, at the Sheffield Half Marathon on Sunday 4th April and the Sheffield 10k on Sunday 26th September (so plenty of time to train!)

ACCT pays for the cost of your place in the race and we will send you an ACCT t-shirt or running vest; we ask you to set up a fundraising page and raise some sponsorship money for ACCT. Please fill in the form via this post to let us know you're interested in running for Team ACCT in 2027!

It's the Sheffield 10k this Sunday! Please wish our Team ACCT runners well, give a donation to support them and ACCT if you're able to. And, if you can get out on Sunday morning to cheer the runners on, they would really appreciate your encouragement!

Go Team ACCT! The Sheffield 10k is fast approaching and the Team ACCT runners have raised nearly £2,000 for autistic young people. Thank you so much everybody for giving generously and to our runners for training hard and taking on the challenge.

We have 27 runners taking part, which is brilliant. And we hope that lots of ACCT supporters will be out on the course on the morning of Sunday 27th September to cheer along Team ACCT and all the runners. The race starts at 9.30am and follows this route.

A huge thanks to everybody who has supported our Team ACCT Sheffield 10k runners - the fundraising total has gone past £1,500, which will all be used to help continue ACCT's work supporting autistic young people and their families here in Sheffield.

And thanks of course to all the runners who are training hard for the race!
