PEDALL aims to promote and provide cycling as an inclusive activity in and around the New Forest National Park.

The New Forest is a popular destination for cycling thanks to an abundance of off-road cycling-friendly paths, beautiful scenery and diverse flora and fauna. PEDALL aims to ensure that these benefits are made available to as many people as possible; including those who previously felt like this was not an option. This activity is well-suited for people with a physical or intellectual disability, a visible or unseen condition or health diagnosis who would benefit from the associated benefits to mental and physical wellbeing that cycling provides. Family members and carers are strongly encouraged to join the sessions and share the experience of cycling in the National Park. Sessions last up to one hour but arrangements can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of each group. Any specific requests will be accommodated wherever possible. Sessions are run by specially trained, experienced staff and volunteers. Our dedicated team of volunteers help deliver our inclusive cycling sessions and keeps our range of cycles maintained and ready for riders of all abilities. Whether you're embarking on your free introduction session or joining family and friends on a group ride, every PEDALL session is designed to be inclusive, safe and, most importantly, fun!

We also welcome support from local businesses and the New Forest Police at our events, helping with bike maintenance and marking to keep cycles secure and ready to ride. 🔐

It’s all part of helping more people build confidence, enjoy the outdoors and experience the beauty of the New Forest.

🚴‍♀️ 10,000 KM. £10,000. WE DID IT! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make Pass the PEDALL 2026 such a brilliant celebration of inclusive cycling and our community.

We smashed both our 10,000 km cycling challenge AND £10,000 fundraising goal! 🙌

What’s happening at Pass the PEDALL? 🚲💚

On 26 September, we’re bringing our community together for a fun-filled day of inclusive cycling at New Park, Brockenhurst - and everyone is welcome. Our Chase the Sun Family relay challenge will be the heart of the action, but there’s plenty more to enjoy and get involved with:

🔐 Keep your bike safe with security marking from New Forest Police (Available from 12-1 pm)
🚴 Make sure your bike is trail-ready with a bike safety check from the PEDALL team
🍔 Enjoy food and refreshments from local vendors, including Loaf Catering and Trailside Cafe
🤝 Meet Community groups and local cycling businesses like Jorvik Tricycles of York, who will be showcasing their fleet and answering your questions

Whether you’re taking part in the relay, trying an accessible bike for the first time, bringing the family along or simply soaking up the atmosphere, there’s a place for you at Pass the PEDALL.

Pass the PEDALL is a reminder of what we can achieve when our community comes together. 🚲💚

Every ride, volunteer, donation and kilometre helps us create more opportunities for people to experience the freedom of inclusive cycling. Your support helps fund our specialist bikes, support our amazing volunteers and make thousands of rides possible every year.

Meet our PEDALL volunteer: Andy Penney. 🌟🚴

💬 “PEDALL was the perfect fit.”

Andy started volunteering with PEDALL in 2018 after meeting the team at the New Forest Volunteer Fair. Driven by a love of cycling and the outdoors, it didn’t take long for Andy to realise that volunteering with PEDALL was the perfect fit.

For Andy, volunteering with PEDALL is about much more than getting out on a bike. It’s about spending time in the New Forest with lovely people, seeing riders have a great time and helping them experience nature on one of PEDALL’s specialist bikes. That’s the beauty of volunteering with PEDALL - creating opportunities to enjoy the New Forest and share those experiences with others.

Outside of PEDALL, you’ll find Andy on a pickleball court. It's another way for him to stay active, have fun and enjoy some friendly competition. 👏
