Remembrance Day at Ellingham Church 9th November 2025 – 1st Poulner Scout Group
So incredibly proud of this fine body of young people – Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and our dedicated Leaders who attended the Remembrance Day Service at Ellingham Church today
In an increasingly fragile, fragmented and polarised world, representation at these events emphasises the huge importance of the Scouting and Guide Movement – the biggest Peace organisation in the World.
A chance for ALL of us to focus on the difference we can ALL continue to make in our own communities by being kind and compassionate, reaching out and helping others who may have different colour, ethnicity, gender, race, religion in order to remove the barriers to peace.
We must not forget those who have lost their lives in the battle for peace in the hope that we can do better in the future.
Well done to ALL of you who gave up your time to attend the service today – you’re a credit to your families and your Leaders.
On another note, if there are any folk out there who’d like to help us guide these Ambassadors of the Future in core skills such as teamwork, communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, adaptability, leadership, practical survival skills – navigation, shelter-building, fire-lighting, first aid and resourcefulness……..but mostly just having LOTS OF FUN!
Then we’d love to hear from you!
