Yesterday, Ed had the immense privilege of attending the Forcer Protocol meeting at Portcullis House, Westminster.
The room was filled with supportive people from across the emergency services, police, veteran organisations and politics all standing behind this incredible initiative, founded by Claire Lilly.
Like many initiatives, the Forcer Protocol was born from the terrible loss of a loved one. One su***de is one too many, and those who work to create change deserve recognition. Claire’s dedication and achievements are inspiring, and her work will continue to support veterans experiencing mental health challenges and those who have gone missing.
Ed also had a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who support the Elysium Memorial Foundation and want to make a difference for veterans in our community.

🎖️ Support the Veterans Charity Ball! 🎖️

We’re taking bookings and ticket orders until Sunday, 15th November for the ball on Saturday, 21st November at Richmond Cricket Club, North Yorkshire. Tickets are £30 each.

Can’t make it? You can still support us by buying a donation ticket or raffle tickets: £1 each or £5 a book. Every bit of support makes a difference!

The evening will feature live entertainment from The Mountain Man, raffles, and an auction—with more details coming soon.
We’ll also have a cash raffle: each table will have an envelope where guests can add £10 or more. One table will win the cash prize and can share it, spend it on drinks, or donate it back to a good cause.

Thanks to the wonderful ladies from all over the UK who crocheted and knitted those amazing poppies, we finally did it: the display is up! 🌺
Getting volunteers and donated materials together is quite a challenge, but it’s done, and I’m so pleased with it.
You can find the display opposite the military dentist, near Louis’s Bar and next to CIC. It’s a peaceful spot with lovely benches. The display will be there until the end of November, and I hope you enjoy it. I’ll be adding another crocheted piece a little later.
There’s still time to donate something for the display. And if you’d like to donate or make something for next year, please send me a message. I’d love to make next year’s display even bigger!

Poppy display day is finally here! I’m not going to lie it’s been a lot of red and a lot of poppies around the house, but it’s all been worth it. Here are some of the finished poppies, glazed and ready to head out ❤️
I hoped to make more, but short on time, I’ve given it my best, though quite a few poppies didn’t survive.
I’m hoping to have more poppies and knitted poppies next year, including some purple ones, as well as the “Poppy Man,” as the children call him. Sergeant Poppy took a lot more poppies than I expected, so we’ll only have two men this time on the display.

Let’s hope no storms come in the month 🤣🤣🤣

🎄 Join us for a special evening this November! 🎄
We’re hosting a ball on 21st November at Richmond Cricket Club, Richmond, North Yorkshire. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and tickets are £30, including food.

The event will raise awareness and funds for Elysium Memorial Foundation. We’ll also be collecting toys for Wheels for Wishes, who organise the Santa Bikes. We’d love to give back to Wheels for Wishes for the incredible support, awareness and help they gave us including making our opening day in September so special.

As a mental health charity supporting serving personnel and veterans, we’d also love to raise donations for “spare tickets.” If you can’t attend but would still like to support us, you can donate the cost of a ticket so a veteran from The Beacon can come along. The period between Remembrance Day and Christmas can be especially difficult for mental health, with so much going on. A ticket gives someone the chance to enjoy a lovely meal, get out, have fun and connect with others.

We’ll have live music from The Mountain Man, plus an auction and raffle. If you’re a local business and would like to donate a raffle prize or a larger auction prize, please get in touch.
