This memorial means so much to many families, loved ones, soldiers and veterans. The Elysium Memorial is a place of remembrance, honour and respect and together, we have the power to make its opening truly special.

Edward Mackenzie has once again been shortlisted for the English Veterans Awards, taking place on 1 October at the De Vere Cotswold Hotel near Swindon.

This year, Ed has been recognised in two categories:

Community Award

Lifetime Achievement Award

The awards for these incredible achievements come just two weeks after Ed opens the Elysium Memorial on Sunday the 13th of September at the National Memorial Arboretum, this wonderful Memorial supports families, friends and loved ones who have experienced the devastating loss of someone dear to them that has died by su***de.

What an extraordinary journey this has been. Ed’s compassion, dedication and commitment has truly made a meaningful difference to so many people. As the year draws to a close, these nominations are a wonderful reflection of his remarkable work and an incredibly fitting way to celebrate all he has achieved.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, a time to remind everyone that no one should have to face their struggles alone.
