Over the past 12 months we have been supported by the Veterans Foundation, who have provided funding for salary costs to deliver our programme in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

This week we visited Strathmore Golf Centre, receiving expert tuition from Peter Whiteford on both the practice facilities and the golf course.

We have been supported by the Blue Light Card Foundation this summer as we continue to deliver our Golf Skills Days throughout England. 🤝

This is an extension of the residential course, focused on developing a particular area of the game, whilst providing attendees with tuition drills that they can practice in their own time outside of our programme.

Since April we have delivered 12 individual days, with an overall attendance of 136 and a further six are scheduled up until the end of October.

We delivered a 2-day Introductory Golf Event at Ramsdale Park for beneficiaries of Blesma - the limbless veterans charity.

Long-serving coach and this year's The PGA Captain, Dai Llewellyn, was able to introduce the game to a new cohort of veterans. He was also joined by Founder John Simpson and current OCF beneficiaries, who were able to share their own experience of recovery through golf.

We're delighted that some of the group have already registered to be beneficiaries and we look forward to seeing them at our events in the future.

Congratulations to our six Simpson Cup GB qualifiers who booked themselves a place on the team at the London Golf Club this week. 🇬🇧

This includes four rookies who will be competing in Dallas, Texas against their American counterparts at Shady Oaks Country Club this November.

From top left to bottom right: Mark Drummond, Pete Roberts, Ryan Burton, Chris Platts, Chris Paterson, Neil Flynn (captain) and Steve Dickinson.

A special mention to Mark Drummond who also won the inaugural Alasdair Barr trophy as the leading player, with 73 points over the two days.

Thanks to players we've been able yo deliver Beginner Golf Skills Courses for wounded veterans via the Sport England Movement Fund.

Here is our PGA Coach Simon working his magic with new beneficiary Tracey at Ramsdale Park Golf Centre last month.

We are really excited to support the launch of Wounded Veterans Golf in the Netherlands at Golf Amsteldijk in September. Ger and Tineke have been so supportive to make this event possible.

Building on the success of our partnership over the last two years, this is an initiative which is being funded by The Invictus Games Foundation as part of their Beyond the Games Programme.

We returned to Titleist UK & Ireland HQ as part of an Employment Insight Day to learn about their role in the golf industry, including manufacturing and the fitting process.

We were thrilled to deliver our first ever Scottish Championship at Peebles Golf Club, with 29 beneficiaries competing for various individual and team prizes.

As always, the golf club could not have been more welcome. A huge thank you to our starter David and Secretary Stuart, as well as Captain and Vice-Captain, Denise and Henry. Without your support this would not have been possible.
