As we know from MayFest we all love a parade!
After Dark is Richmond's newest festival and of course it has a parade, which everyone is welcome to join. Come along to Richmond Castle entrance at 6pm on Saturday 31st October for the Pumpkin Parade!
You're invited to bring along your own pumpkin or other lantern - Hallowe'en outfits are definitely welcome too - and follow the sound of the ghostly drummer around the Castle... You may well encounter the odd character (not to say witch...)
Plus Prizes!
There's lots more happening in the town centre this Hallowe'en - more info at https://www.richmond.org/News/richmond-presents-after-dark

It's time to get creative. Dream up your spookiest pumpkin carving designs or Jack-o-lanterns and plan your costumes for the first annual Richmond Pumpkin Parade!

There’ll be dancing and music and prizes aplenty – plus a whole spellbook full of family fun as we parade from the Castle to the Marketplace for an unmissable Halloween Twilight Market.

Join the fun at the castle entrance from 6pm on 31 October.

It’s all part of Richmond Presents After Dark –a week of spectacular spookiness right across town.

For all the details of what, when and where, visit Richmond.org

After Dark is supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and funded by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority

The MayFest team is at last recovering from an EPIC weekend! Many pictures to follow, but let's start with a focus on our magnificent MayFest Royals.
2025's Queen Ava graciously gave way to our new Queen Lily, who was ably assisted by her four Flower Girls as she was crowned at Richmond Castle on the Saturday of MayFest. The whole Royal Party then proceeded to enjoy the whole festival... including dancing with our Jack o'the Green!
Thanks so much to all these brilliant youngsters who gave so much of their time to MayFest! Hope to see you all again at the Richmond Meet Parade!
