Today we’re celebrating all the dads and father figures who make a difference in a child’s life.

🩵To the loving dads giving comfort, care and cuddles.
🩵To the new dads discovering the joy (and chaos) for the first time.
🩵To the single dads doing it all with strength and heart.
🩵To the step‑dads who choose love every day.
🩵To the foster dads offering safety, stability and kindness.
🩵To the soon‑to‑be dads waiting for their little one to arrive.
🩵To those caring for their dads with patience and love.
🩵To anyone who has lost their dad or is missing a father figure today, we’re holding you in our hearts.
🩵And to the dads who have lost a child ; we see you, and we honour your love.

Father’s Day means something different to everyone and every story matters.

Here at Home‑Start Richmondshire, we want to celebrate all the wonderful military families in our community; children and parents.💜

Military life can mean new places, new routines, and sometimes missing someone you love. But we see the courage, kindness and teamwork that families show every single day.

To all the parents holding everything together, and all the children who bring so much joy and strength, you’re amazing.💛

We’re here to support you, cheer you on, and help your family feel connected and cared for.

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year’s theme is Action. 💜

At Home-Start Richmondshire, we believe that one of the most powerful actions you can take for your mental health, is reaching out for connection. 🤗

Parenting can be tough, and feeling lonely or overwhelmed can take a toll on your wellbeing. Our amazing volunteers are here to offer a friendly hand and a listening ear, providing non-judgemental support to families in our community.

Whether it's a walk in the park or a chat over a cuppa, these small actions make a big difference.

Remember, you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re a parent or carer and could use some extra support, we’re here for you.
