Come to Awenek! The Great Cornish Heritage Festival on Saturday 12th September at Enys Gardens, Penryn — and enjoy activity trails, games, storytelling, puppetry, creative workshops, hands‑on experiences and so much more.
Kids go free, and early bird adult tickets start from £7.50.

Throughout the day, there’s plenty to get involved with:
• Say hello to Skillywidden, the mischievous Pisky, and all his faery friends from Squashbox Theatre.
• Meet Susie the Traction Engine and see the power of steam in action.
• Join a battle with Morvleydh’s Vikings and try to break their ferocious shield wall.
• Create your very own nature tile with an award-winning Cornish ceramicist.
• Make your own hand‑forged item with a professional blacksmith from Blacksmith’s Collective CIC
• Try your hand at pressing apples with Resilient Orchards Cornwall.
• Have a go at archery and axe throwing with Maid for Archery.�
Most activities are included in your ticket price, with a small number of optional paid workshops, including:
• Learn how to make a pasty with expert crimpers at The Pasty Box (£7.50 per person)
• Build a bird box (£15 per person) or bird feeder (£3 per person) with our Rangers
