As we move into the new term, we hope schools and colleagues across Cornwall have had a positive start to the year following the challenges of Storm Goretti.

Before looking ahead, we want to reflect on a busy and inspiring end to last term. From Raise the Roof! with The Sixteen, to a day of music-making with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, our Autumn Conference, and a festive close to the year with Lowender Nadelik at Truro Cathedral, the term was shaped by strong collaboration and a shared commitment to music education across the county.

This term, ASONE Hub is offering a range of professional development opportunities, including in-person singing development sessions, free after-school Charanga training in February, and tailored CPD shaped around the needs of schools and educators.

We are also reviewing the future of our School Projects programme to ensure funding delivers the greatest possible impact. A short survey is open until Monday 17 February, and an online focus group will take place on Tuesday 20 January for those who wish to contribute in more depth.

Alongside this work, we are pleased to be strengthening our development support through Alice Browning, Primary Music Development Lead, and Patrick Bailey, Secondary Music Development Lead, as we continue to build sustainable progression routes for learners across Cornwall.

Thank you to all schools, educators and partners who continue to work with us to support high-quality music education. Further details on events, training and opportunities are available on our website.
