CLUB DAY AT REDRUTH ALBANY 🏉🔵⚪
A massive thank you to everyone who came along for our Touch & Talk session, barbecue, players meeting and campout.
It was a proper Albany day: rugby, food, conversation, ideas, songs, and a real sense of the club moving forward together.
TALK AND TOUCH 🏉
The Touch & Talk session with We Are One was a brilliant reminder that looking after each other does not always have to mean big conversations. Sometimes it is a quick check-in, a message, a nod, or simply making sure someone still feels part of the room.
Small things stack. They build trust. They build a team.
Special mention to Gareth Mitchell-Fryer and Matt Morgan for organising this jointly with Redruth Albany. And to Bethan Jones on photography and capturing what made the game matter.
BARBECUE 🍔
A big thank you also to Curtis Hill, who brought his barbecue along and helped keep everyone fed before the players meeting.
KEY UPDATES FROM PLAYERS MEETING 📣
❖ Curtis Hill is handing over the captaincy reins after more than a decade of leadership and going above and beyond for Albany.
❖ Connor Parrott takes up the captaincy, supported by Mike Gilman-Hill as vice captain.
Connor is also representing Albany as a We Are One ambassador.
❖ Luke Collins was present as coach, bringing clear vision and experience for the year ahead, backed by Peter Joyce.
❖ Clair Swan remains our fixture first aider.
❖ Shaun Collyer takes on team manager moving forward.
The message from the day was simple: Albany is moving onward and upward, and everyone has a part to play.
WHAT'S NEXT 💙
Whether it is training, playing, sharing posts, bringing a mate down, helping around the clubhouse, or supporting from the sideline — it all matters.
Albany remains an open door. New players are welcome. Returning players are welcome. What matters is commitment, respect, and turning up for each other.
CAMPOUT ⛺
The evening finished with the campout, songs, laughs, and the kind of memories that remind us why clubs like this matter.
Together on the Hill. 🔵⚪🔥
