Come along to our September Community Collaboration Session.

We would like to invite you to join us on Tuesday 9th September from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

This month's session will focus on our Vulnerable Customer Policy. We are keen to hear your views and feedback to help ensure the policy effectively meets the needs of our customers.

During the session, we will review the current policy together and provide an opportunity for you to share insights and suggestions for improvement. Your input is invaluable and will help shape how we support customers who may be vulnerable.

We’re delighted to invite applications for the role of Customer Member on our Customer Experience Committee (CEC). This is a unique opportunity for customers to help shape the future of Coastline’s services, ensuring that the customer voice is at the heart of everything we do.

No previous board or committee experience is needed - just a passion for making a difference and a commitment to being curious, undertaking training, and attending and preparing for meetings. Full training and support will be provided.

This is a paid position, with annual remuneration (currently £3,719) provided.

Over the August bank holiday weekend our phone lines are open 24 hours a day for you to report emergency repairs - call 01209 200200 at any time.

Coastline House is closed to visitors as usual on Saturday and Sunday, and also closed on Monday 31st August.

Reception reopens and our full telephone service returns at 8:30am on Tuesday 1st September.

This week, colleagues from across Coastline came together for a successful Neighbourhood Action Day at Roundhouse Way in Helston.

The day was a fantastic example of collaborative working, bringing together teams from Tenancy, Community Investment, Tenancy Sustainment, Income, Services, and the PA to the Deputy CEO, all with a shared goal of supporting customers and improving the local neighbourhood.

Throughout the day, colleagues knocked on every property in the area to speak directly with customers, understand any concerns, and offer support, advice and guidance where needed. The team also helped customers dispose of unwanted household items, resulting in four van loads of items being cleared and helping to create a cleaner environment for everyone.

The event was very well received, and we were delighted to receive the following feedback from one of our customers:

"Could I just say that it was a pleasure meeting you today. It was great to put a face to the name."

"I am thoroughly impressed with what happened today with making the neighbourhood more tidy."

Coastline was delighted to receive news this week that we have had funding confirmed from Homes England to move ahead with building 298 more homes, all of which will start on site in the coming months.

This funding is part of the government’s Social and Affordable Homes Programme that sets out to support the delivery of more homes in local areas for people in housing need.

To celebrate, Nathan Mallows and James Cox from Coastline’s Development and Sales Team visited two sites currently under construction for Coastline in St Merryn and St Erme by Classic Builders. These schemes were both funded thanks to previous Homes England grants.

At St Merryn we are in the process of building 81 homes and at St Erme we will be providing 36 homes. Completion dates will range from March 2027 through to November 2028.

We are very excited to be working with Homes England and our contractors across Cornwall to bring more new homes to local communities and help address the Cornish housing crisis.
