We've been at the The UK Careers Fair at The Alverton Hotel in Truro earlier today to speak with people across the county who are interested in volunteering and finding out more about what we do.
Volunteering is a fantastic way to learn new skills, meet a community of wonderful people and make a difference to a charity supporting bereaved children, young people and their families across Cornwall.
Some people might feel supporting families directly isn't for them and choose to become a volunteer with us at community and fundraising events, such as collecting cheques, helping with stalls or doing talks. Others might want to come on board as a family support volunteer. Volunteers are able to do as much or as little as they'd like but every single one of them helps us to make a difference.
If you're interested and haven't been able to pop down to the Truro Careers Fair today, our final Introduction to Penhaligon's Friends half-day training takes place on 7th October in and is the first step to volunteering with us! If you are interested, you can find more information here - and contact us on [email protected]
