Such a fantastic turn out for our youth Football Tournament on Sunday.

The Tournament would mark the end of Whitsun week as a reward for our participants, as they prepared to return back to school on Monday.

It was great to see so many parents in attendance for the three hour tournament and to once again receive such great feedback from all involved.

Thank you to Richard Field/Jamie Fisher/Raf and everyone at the Redditch Police Force for all their amazing support too. With a shout out for our fantastic coaching team of Abdul Jabbar, Hafiz Rehman, Qasim Hanif and Yassar Mahmood.

It's important to mention, a recent Sport England Survey (Active Lives Children and Young People Survey) indicated a significant drop in the amount of physical activity (60 mins or more daily) the young people of Redditch were actively involved in one undertaking, down from 47% to 42%

As an organisation who are well placed to help tackle this concern, we will be continuing our long standing weekly sessions and where possible, looking to increase them, especially during the school holiday periods and weekends.

Summer activities continue! ☀️⚽

Our long-standing weekly youth football sessions continue to attract some great engagement!

Since 2021 we have delivered a weekly football session (except during Ramadan/Christmas) for the youth of Redditch and beyond.

The sessions have always received amazing feedback from participants and parents, and our stakeholders.

A fantastic effort by our coaching team throughout the 5+ years, with the amazing support of our key stakeholders across this period.

With school set to restart on Monday, this weekend we will be hosting a tournament for all our participants and anyone else wishing to join (ages 6-12) - as a nice way to end their break.

Last week, we used our weekly adults football sessions to host the great guys at Athletic Foundation in .

Football has always been one of our favourite tools to network with like minded organisations and individuals.

It was brilliant to see over 30 individuals participating in the 9 a Side - 90 minute fixture, and we even managed to raise £250 towards a noble project based in .

We are all too aware of the benefits of participating in weekly - from significantly improving cardiovascular health, building muscle strength and endurance, and lowering the risk of chronic conditions like diabetes.

Beyond the physical benefits though, it boosts mental well-being by reducing stress and depression, and strengthens social connections through community engagement and teamwork.

A huge thank you to both Zia Ahmed/ Imran Bhayat and the great guys at Coventry Athletic Foundation for making the short trip to Redditch.

Some of the best photos from the 2026 'Ramadan Cup' which was concluded over the weekend, organised by the amazing team at Hall Green United. Staged at Solihull Moors.

The collective effort of each and every team involved, would see over £14,000 raised for some amazing causes worldwide.

A combination of Redditch, Birmingham and Worcester participants would unite to represent ARCH FC against a strong Hall Green United team, and although the result was far off what we had hoped and expected - to be part of a amazing collective fundraising effort for some amazing causes around the world, was brilliant. Credit to both teams for leaving everything on the pitch.

A massive well done and thank you to everyone at HGU for their amazing work once again, and for their invite to what was their fifth annual tournament.

Here's a quick follow up on our earlier post from the week

Our 2026 'Redditch Community Cup' small sided football tournament was staged on Monday Bank Holiday, and given its purpose, we were not surprised at all by the great amount raised and engagement we saw.

6 team, featuring players from across Redditch, Worcestershire and West Bromwich would unite to show their support for the tournament which was organised to show support for, and raise funds towards a noble project, in honor and memory of Uncle Wajid Ali. A much loved, popular and respected member amongst the Redditch Community and beyond. Father of one of our long serving coaching team and also a highly popular and admired individual himself, Waqas Ali.

The three hour event, planned at 3 weeks notice, raised a fantastic amount of £1540.

A superb effort from everyone involved.

We are so grateful Waqas agreed to give us this opportunity to stage this event. As an organisation we wanted to show our support for Waqas - an individual who is always supporting everything we do, and so many others where he can - and we are also grateful Waqas himself got involved in the football, it was great to see him partaking and doing well, given all that's happened.

We would like to thank Dan Nokes, Sam Power, Dave Phelan and the wider team at P&E Sports for their amazing support once again. Honestly, such great people.

Whilst also expressing our gratitude to Fize Khawaja, Jameel Hussain, Ayaan Nawaz, Qasim Hafiz and Asif Ahmed for their support with the organisation and delivery of this event. Whilst not forgetting our amazing sponsors and partners.

And it goes without saying, a huge thank you to each and everyone who donated and attended to show their support for Waqas. Thank you.

Here's some photos from the day itself...

What an amazing day at our 2026 Redditch Community Cup yesterday.

£1500 raised (donations are still welcome, if you would like to donate get in touch)

An amazing amount raised, highlighting the obvious respect and admiration for Uncle Wajid and Waqas himself. Thank you to everyone who got involved and supported.

But, most importantly, thank you to Waqas himself for allowing us to organise this event. We appreciate this.

An awesome attendance and great support from so many people across so many generations of the Redditch community. Thank you.

More to follow in due course.

This Bank Holiday Monday we will be hosting our 'Redditch Community Cup' small sided football tournament.

Thanks to the help of the awesome guys at P&E Sports, over the last few years we have staged a community based event on this early Bank Holiday weekend.

This year's event has even more meaning to it.

At least 36 participants from across Redditch, Worcester and West Bromwich and multiple members of our ARCH organising team will be uniting to raise funds in honour and memory of a much respected and loved member of the Redditch Community - Uncle Wajid Ali. Late Father of one of our most popular sports coordinators and coaches at ARCH, Waqas Ali.

A special thanks to Waqas for giving ourselves the approval to organise this event, and a special thank you to Dan Nokes, Sam Power, Dave Phelan and everyone at the P&E Sports team for their amazing support once again. Amazing people, amazing organisation.

Not forgetting, the generosity and support of Fize Khawaja, Mister A Bakes Redditch, Southcrest Detailing and each and every individual who has donated so far and our organising team of Jameel Hussain, Asif Ahmed, Rayhan Miah and Qasim Hafiz.

And, the support of Redditch Entaco Cricket Club / Abdul Jabbar who allowed use of their facility on very short notice for some pre-prep on Sunday evening. Thank you!

All are welcome to attend and donations can be made on the day. Every penny raised will be forwarded to a project or cause which Waqas will choose. As a means of ongoing charity, for Uncle Wajid.

Awesome match between two community organisations with similar values, last night!

With around 40 players involved in the charity match, and many more in attendance to spectate and support- allowing for a memorable night of football, community and charity.

Rahma Sports Relief would deservedly win the match 4-1, but it was an excellent night of football.

The best part of the night? ....

Rayhan Miah's (RSR management) full-time speech - where he mentioned the impressive conduct and discipline of both teams and importantly - the beauty of seeing so many different ethnicities and players of all different backgrounds involved in the match.

Algerian, Bangladeshi, English, Indian, Jamaican, Kurdish, Lebanese, Pakistani, Spanish, Yemeni...and more too!

Thank you to everyone involved with a special thank you to the brilliant P&E Sports for their help and support.

The match has so far raised £400, which will be added to the £8000 already raised by the RSR team towards their 2026 25k pledge, for various GRT projects.

We are honoured and grateful to be able to organise this Community Tournament

Thank you to Waqas Ali (ARCH coaching team) who approved this tournament.

As expected, given the popularity and respect for Waqas' late father and of course Waqas himself - we have been inundated with players and individuals wanting to help and support. Thank you to everyone who has got involved.

A very big thank you to the team at P&E Sports and Fize Khawaja for all their help once again - which has made a difference to the organising of this event. Alongside the help of Jameel Hussain and Qasim Hafiz also, who have and will be taking some senior responsibilities on the day itself.

Not forgetting those businesses and individuals who have generously donated to date, and Asif Ahmed for his amazing support once again with the artwork and posters.

Please do attend if you wish, donations are welcome on the day itself.

Venue has been confirmed as Woodfield Academy, Redditch. (Thank you Dan, Sam and Fize for their help and support)
