today women to women peer support start of with introduction of our self then had to list 3 thing we love or enjoyed about ourself and the we did you got this and stress less card whilst we do some colouring. We had two people come in to speaking about finincal and budgeting and the ways you budget and do your finincal stuff. Then we deeper into to speaking about domestic abuse with finincal aspects and cultural domestic abuse and participants then shared their story and opened up

Today at Women-to-Women Peer Support, we started by introducing ourselves. We then shared three things that we love or appreciate about ourselves. After that, we completed “You Got This” and “Stress Less” cards while doing some colouring activities, which created a calm and supportive atmosphere.

We also had two guest speakers join us to talk about finances and budgeting. They discussed different ways to manage money, budgeting techniques, and practical approaches to handling personal finances.

Later in the session, we had a deeper discussion about domestic abuse, focusing particularly on financial abuse and cultural aspects of domestic abuse. Participants were encouraged to share their experiences, and many opened up about their personal stories in a safe and supportive environment.

On World Maternal Mental Health Day, we’re celebrating the power of partnership. The Reading Women’s Wellbeing Partnership was built on the belief that working together helps us better support women through pregnancy, motherhood and beyond.

This year’s theme, A Decade of Voices, reinforces why listening matters and why collaboration makes those voices stronger.

Together, we’re creating healthier, more supportive communities for women and families across Reading. 💜
