Our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/3161801164088282 We run various community events for both the Ukrainian community and wider community. The centre is run by a committee of volunteers who are continually driving to raise funds for the centre, to send Aid to Ukraine, to provide support for displaced Ukrainians, to host and fund numerous events and functions throughout the year. We have a wonderful Ukrainian library and Cafe (Mal'va) located in our community hall.

When we talk about Ukrainians returning home, we need to ask: what will they be returning to?

A ceasefire would bring desperately needed relief. But it would not immediately restore a damaged home, reconnect heating and water, reopen a school or make medical care available.

As another winter approaches, the destruction of Ukraine’s infrastructure is also shaping the future of people who have found safety in Britain. Many are trying to plan their children’s education, find a secure home and build a working life here, while worrying about loved ones in Ukraine.

Please see the Ukrainian Voice UK’s latest statement, following the easing of US sanctions on Russian diesel. At its heart is a concern about what decisions made today will mean for people’s lives, their safety and their ability to return.

Those who wish to return need a safe and realistic way to rebuild their lives. Those making their future in Britain need a clear pathway to settlement.
