Bell Tower Community Association

Bell Tower Community Association An independent non-profit organisation aiming to generate community spirit and promote the interests of local people in our small corner of Reading, UK.

The association is completely independent, with no affiliation to any political or religious organisations. For those unfamiliar with the area, Reading is a town of about 150,000 inhabitants, 40 miles west of London. It is at the heart of the Thames Valley, often known as the UK's 'Silicon Valley' because of its concentration of high-tech industries.

Reading’s streets are set for a bilingual makeover, with dual English-Welsh road signs being installed across the town in a bold attempt to attract more Welsh visitors. Experts say the move could boost tourism and spending - but critics are already questioning whether the unusual strategy will actually pay off. Is this a clever cultural welcome… or a step too far?
