Safeway Branch RBL

Please see the August 2026 Safeway RBL Newsletter as per the screen shots attached/below.

The Safeway RBL Branch is now in its 79th year!

It’s a brilliant way to reconnect and stay in touch with friends from all the Eras (Allied suppliers, Argyll into Safeway and finally Morrisons) …for a great cause.

Many stories are told when we meet about the past and successful careers, underpinned by Safeway “ahead of its time” in so many ways particularly development and leadership skills.

The newsletter includes information about the annual dinner scheduled for Friday 06/11/26 (Holiday Inn, Reading South), please sign up or if can’t make it any lottery ticket purchases welcome!

You can also join the Safeway 200 club; our vehicle to raise charity money.

All are welcome including those who worked for companies or third parties that linked with any of the Safeway chapters, partners and friends welcome!

You can also see our plans for next years “Spring Event “ in Cheshire after the success of this years in Scotland.

Safeway Reunion date for your 2026 Diaries

Friday May 8th, 2026

Make this a great occasion to meet up and have dinner with Safeway colleagues, friends. and families.

And maybe a little golf too! The Westerwood Spa and Golf resort, Cumbernauld Glasgow G68 0EW is the venue:

Following high interest in arranging a Safeway reunion for the RBL in the Spring and geographically different from our annual dinner in November each year, we have arranged a Dinner at the Westerwood Hotel Spa and Golf resort Cumbernauld (Glasgow) on Friday 8th May 2026.

There will also be an option of a Golf Day before the meal.

All colleagues from the many Safeway Eras including Morrisons are very welcome along with partners and business connections plus of course Golf club friends!

We will have a raffle during dinner to raise funds.

Please save the date in your diary, spread the word and booking forms will be sent out in November.

PS our 78th annual dinner will be at Reading Holiday inn South on November 5th”

Yours truly
