On 1 September we celebrated a decade of Apex Healthcare Services with the people who made it possible: our clients, their families, our carers and our friends across Wokingham and Reading. Three generations in one room, an afternoon tea, a few happy tears, and a letter to our future selves sealed in a time capsule that stays shut until 2031.
A special thank you to Councillor David Hare and his wife Dr Nicola Brock for joining us and sharing the afternoon with our Apex family, to the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Wokingham Borough, who could not attend but kindly sent their best wishes, and to the Office of the Lord Lieutenant of Berkshire for their kind wishes and congratulations on our ten years. Thank you also to BBC Radio Berkshire for coming to capture the stories of the day, to our friends at Wokingham Borough Council who have worked alongside us for so many of these ten years, and to Sindlesham Court for looking after us so well.
Above all, thank you to every client, every family member and every team member who filled the room with a decade of memories. And to everyone who could not be with us on the day: you were in the room in every way that matters. This celebration belongs to every client we have ever cared for, every family who welcomed us in, and every colleague past and present who gave their heart to this work. Ten years is your story too.
