Jigsaw is a 20 acre site developed to support horses, ponies, people and the environment.

BOB the Mechanical Horse Simulator:
- Bob is our unique Riding Simulator - A Mechanical Horse that has been adjusted to our own specification to give the rider the benefits of riding a horse without going out into the wet and cold.
- Bob looks a bit like a robot but feels like a horse. He can help beginners learn to ride, more experienced riders to improve their position, nervous riders to gain confidence, introduction to side saddle and improve general fitness.
- Bobs position is long and low which will particularly help dressage riders to achieve the correct position.
- Bob works at walk, and both working and medium trot and canter.

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Unfortunately due to the weather forecast for tomorrow, we have had to make the difficult decision to close for the day (Sunday 25th October).

This is certainly not ideal but we need to put our visitors, volunteers and donkeys safety and well-being first, by keeping them tucked up and dry.

We are worried financially to close - as you know we rely 100% on visitors, adoptions and the cafe to keep our centre running. But we have to do what is in the best interest of everyone’s safety, including our animals.

We have a £900 hay bill due this coming week for our donkeys and now have no funds to pay for it.

We feel terrible having to ask but if anyone would be able to support our donkeys feed bill, it would be so greatly appreciated!

Our details for Bank Transfer details are:
The Wonkey Donkey Visitors Centre
Account number: 50270687
Sort code: 40-18-00

Thank you so much for your continued support! 🫏🙏

Well so near to Jigsaws 25th Anniversary and a massive thank you to my lovely team at home who make our special ponies lives so good, to all the friends over the years who have kept us going one way or another and to Katy and Jan for keeping me learning, teaching and having fun. 🥰

We are getting ready to celebrate a special date at Jigsaw but never forgetting Douglas Farm, and the amazing times we had with special people and ponies. This young lady was from Mere Oakes School and her special pony was the amazing Claude, who came to Douglas Farm as a 19 year old pony and helped us for many years. The young rider was called Christina and her Mum was assisting her and I think the young lady leading Claude was called Julie.
