Stable Lives provides respite, stability and hope for those dealing with mental health challenges.

We support children and adults through courses, 1-1 sessions and a Youth Group.

Sad to finish our adult course today but delighted to have been gifted a needle felt Tiger. This person learnt to needle felt early within their course and this was their second creation 🥰
Absolutely adore it and particularly love the boot that he is holding to give people the motivation to get going and start living life. 🙂
Love seeing the transformation on our adult courses, love getting to know people over the weeks and love to hear about new plans and dreams.

Embracing the season change here. Winter coats might be being dusted off but looking for the joy and beauty of the weather.
An old saying on our yard. “No such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices”
No excuses, get out for some fresh air, it’ll do you good. Send us the photo evidence of you facing not avoiding the weather! 🙂🤦‍♀️

Tiger is having some self reflection time today.
Felt he performed well on the adult course and created a welcoming and calm atmosphere but don’t feel he showed the same kindness to Alan 🤔
Alan is fine but a little shaken by the situation.
The selfie with Alan picture competition is still open for entries but for Alan’s sake we will only take entries from humans…

This week in stable lives youth world:

We welcomed students from Bishop Rawstorne who came to finish their Hybrid course. 🚌

We lit the first fire of the season as the nights get colder 🔥

We spotted the last bit of wildlife in the sun before the start of the winter months 🦋

We began a selfie competition with Alan - our new pet pigeon (entries still being taken if you visit us!) 🐦

One of our lovely young people drew this outstanding picture for us - how amazing 🐴

We navigated young people’s challenges and worries but managed to bank some laughs on the way too.

Seems to have moved in. Very friendly, bit miffed when muck heap man came as he didn’t like the loud noise but mostly giving his new gaff 5* reviews 👌

This week at Stable Lives 💙

Our adult group completed their second week, spending time with their horses and creating little ladybirds.

We had a Pizza night in our youth group where we hosted 34 young people.

We have been having quiet moments for our young people and made lavender wreaths to take home for a moment of calm.

Our long term education students continued to work hard through their British Horse Society qualifications and we have welcomed new children onto 6 week mental health support courses.

We visited Bishop Rawstorne as part of our hybrid course and look forward to welcoming the group to us next week.

Lots of exciting things going on in the background as we aim to develop our outreach and react to the needs of our community. The Rose Paterson Trust
