Bluestone Archaeology considers (local) public involvement to be an essential requirement, of all our projects, as it enables the scope of research to be broadened, and perpetuates local interest in their heritage. For all of our projects we are especially keen to attract volunteers and partners from all over the United Kingdom. As well as local communities, schools, charities, special needs groups, young offenders, and university students will all be able to contribute to the understanding of their local heritage through active participation in the investigation process. This will be done both on a central field school and on all Bluestone projects. These local and regional volunteers will be invited to actively participate in professionally supervised research and training excavations and surveys proposed to take place over a number of weeks in the spring and summer months.
