The good weather called for a BBQ! ☀️🌭🍔
We recently enjoyed a fantastic BBQ with our service users, bringing everyone together for good food, great company, and plenty of laughs in the sunshine.
It was wonderful to see everyone relaxing, socialising, and making the most of the beautiful weather. Days like these are a great reminder of the importance of connection, community, and enjoying time together.

A great day of learning for our social media team members Alex and Ellen, who recently took part in Social Media, AI & Canva training delivered through the Fermanagh Trust.
The session provided valuable insights into creating engaging content, using AI tools effectively, and developing creative designs with Canva to help strengthen our online presence and community engagement.

📢 Calling out to private landlords 📢

Slate Project is a homelessness support organisation dedicated to helping young adults secure stable, long-term housing.
We are currently looking to build partnerships with private landlords who are open to working with us to provide safe and reliable accommodation for our clients. By collaborating with us, you can benefit from:
• Consistent tenancy support from our experienced team
• Help with tenant communication and sustainment
• Ongoing contact to address any issues early
Our goal is to create sustainable tenancies that work for both landlords and tenants. We carefully assess and support our clients to ensure they are ready for independent living, and we remain involved providing reassurance and practical assistance to make sure tenancy is sustained.
If you’re open to discussing this further, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you on 02882267010 or at [email protected]

📸 More Moments from Our Shelter NI Away Day at L***y Beg Island 🌿🌊
We’re sharing a few more highlights from our recent Shelter NI Staff Away Day & Overnight Retreat at L***y Beg Island — because one post just wasn’t enough to capture it all!
These moments reflect what the time away was really about: 🤝 Strengthening connections across teams
💬 Open conversations and shared learning
😂 Plenty of laughs along the way
🌿 Stepping away from the day to day to reflect and reset
🌙 Making the most of time together on the island
Bringing staff together in this way creates space to connect, recharge, and return to our roles feeling motivated and supported — ready to continue delivering for the people who rely on our services.
Thanks again to everyone who made the trip so positive and memorable 💛
Here are a few more snapshots from a brilliant couple of days 👇

Shauna attended the Housing providers workshop on 14th April 2026 in The MAC Belfast, this was Facilitated by Hannah and Jen from the Rainbow project and the aim was to explore how the housing sector can develop LGBTQIA+ inclusion and service delivery, looking at shared experiences, barriers and needs, They also discussed what support and preparation housing providers need in developing LGBTQIA+ Inclusive practices. The engagement from this workshop will support a research project conducted by The Rainbow Project on LGBTQIA+ Inclusion within the housing and homelessness sector in Northern Ireland.
