Support 2gether

Support 2gether Providing Education And Support For Families Living With Antenatal, Postnatal Depression & Anxiety.
- Tel: 02882622177 The most scary part is they feel ALONE!

As one sister suffered the other supported. 2gether they grew a Perinatal mental health charity. Support 2gether began as a support group and over the years it has evolved into a support organisation.

The charity was set up because Una lived with PND and had little knowledge of the illness that brought such darkness to her life.As Brenda looked to support her sister she realised that the support

and awareness in her community was very little and from the lack of services grew Support 2gether. The support for mothers and families is much needed in N.Ireland. There is such a taboo with Mental Health in our Society and women who experience a Perinatal mental illness such as Post-Natal Depression have a feeling of inadequacy, a feeling of 'being a bad mother'. They feel a failure towards their child, family, partner and most of all to themselves. If they knew that they were not ALONE, and that it can happen to ANYONE from any walk of life then maybe this will enable them to start believing in themselves and to start growing stronger. What we want to do is offer regular support/ education sessions in a safe environment where judgement is not welcomed, where the mother will be held and heard. Support 2gethers aim is to educate and normalise the illness which will empower parents. PND is a treatable illness but it needs treatment and due to the lack of awareness and the stigma surrounding the illness mothers do not know who to reach out for support. Support 2gether holds the mother whilst she holds her baby. Our team have lived experience of Antenatal/postnatal depression and anxiety and can support mothers/fathers through their journey of recovery to discovery

S2 is very proud to be an expert by experience.

2gether we can support and stand up to the bully that is PND (IT). U r not alone. x

This morning we were off to Omagh,
Co Tyrone, to drop off 20 of our One Day at a Time packs to Support2gether, an award-winning local charity supporting perinatal mental health, children and families. 💛🌻

Support 2gether do incredible work supporting families through antenatal and postnatal mental health challenges, creating safe spaces filled with understanding, kindness and hope.

What a beautiful little space they have created… warm, welcoming and full of comfort. Honestly, those sofas were calling my name. I could easily have curled up under a blanket for an hour! 😊

No rest for me though… it’s been a very busy week out and about, so after a quick visit with Ciara and Lyndsey (unfortunately didn't see Una today 😔), it was straight back on the road again. But mornings like this remind me why these projects matter so much. One small act of support can mean everything to someone having a difficult day. I hope these packs bring comfort to any neonatal families who come through your doors, who might not have received a pack in hospital. ❤️

One day at a Time 💕 xx

Wow… what an achievement!

Orlaith from Little Smilers set herself a challenge in the lead up to her 40th birthday and she certainly embraced “Movement for Mums.”

Orlaith completed an incredible 40 Danders and raised a fantastic £1,035 for Support 2gether!

Orlaith, thank you for thinking of our cause whilst celebrating such a special milestone. Your kindness, energy, and support will help us continue supporting mothers in our community through maternal mental health services.

Today, the S2 team had the pleasure of spending the day with relationship coach Lisa.

Lisa created a space for honest conversations, reflection, learning, and growth as we explored all things relationships — both professionally and personally.

The session gave us plenty of food for thought and reminded us of the importance of connection, communication, boundaries, and self-awareness within the work that we do.

At Support 2gether, we believe that investing in our team helps us better support the mothers and families who we support.

We look forward to continuing to work alongside Lisa and drawing on her expertise as we continue striving to deliver a compassionate, meaningful, and quality service to our members.

Our incredible Chairlady, whose story is one of strength, resilience and hope.

After losing both of her parents at a young age, she chose a path of compassion and care and went on to become a nurse ,dedicating her life to supporting others through some of their hardest moments.

To see her featured in Belfast Live at her graduation is more than an achievement, it is a reminder that pain does not define a person’s future.

She is living proof that hope can grow through heartbreak, and that even in the darkest seasons, people can still rise, heal and bloom.

We are so proud to have such an inspiring woman leading and supporting our journey at Support 2gether 🌻

Watching nurses care for her parents left a lasting impression on the mum-of-three and sparked an interest in the profession.

Today was recording day for our Fill Ur Cuppa podcast and our special guest was the inspiring CEO of Fermanagh and Omagh Women's Aid, Kerrie. 🌻💗

What a woman!
What a conversation!

We spent time talking honestly about women, motherhood, safety, emotional wellbeing, support, and the strength it takes to keep going through difficult seasons.

These conversations matter because behind closed doors, many women are carrying struggles in silence.

At Support 2gether, we believe in creating spaces where real talk is welcomed, where stories are heard with compassion, and where women feel less alone.

This episode is powerful, grounding, and full of heart.
We cannot wait for you all to hear it. ☕🌻

Ciara and Una stepped out on their lunch break today to take on their Mile a Day for the Move for Mums campaign !!

A small step in the day… but part of something much bigger.

Each mile is helping to raise awareness and vital funds for maternal mental health — supporting mums who need someone to walk alongside them during difficult times.

If you’d like to support the S2 crew in this wee movement for mums, you can donate here:

Our S2 crew have stepped forward this May, committing to a mile a day—not just for movement, but for meaning.

Each step taken is in support of maternal mental health, raising both awareness and vital funds for the mothers we walk beside every day.

Every penny raised will go directly towards our counselling services.

For many mothers, counselling is not a luxury,it is a lifeline. It offers time to pause, to be heard, and to rebuild from a place of overwhelm, anxiety, or quiet despair. It helps to replace isolation with connection, and shame with understanding.

Through your support, we can continue to provide safe, compassionate, and professional support to mums who need it most, ensuring that no mother has to carry it all alone.

To donate, click onto the Enthuse link and scroll until you see our campaign.
2gether, we are taking steps—one mile, one mum, one moment of support at a time. 🌻
