LRCharity is a Christian charity that cares for people in Russia struggling in poverty and crisis.

Since 1993, LRCharity has been reaching out to abandoned and vulnerable orphans who are completely unprepared for life after the orphanage system. The general trend sees orphanage leavers, without any support, turning to addictions and crime. Most will suffer poverty with many experiencing homelessness and unmanageable pregnancies. We strive to change traumatic circumstances through long-term support from reliable adults, shelter and teaching skills to enable orphanage leavers to thrive - not just survive. Discretion and respect for privacy is vital, therefore names referring to individuals are often changed. We aim to support our Russian friends as they work towards social change, always being sensitive to their culture as the vulnerable are rescued, person by person, breaking the cycle of orphans creating more orphans.

After a summer of being outside playing games 🏃‍♀️‍➡️, camping in the woods 🏕️, and barbecuing in the garden 🌭, our Open Hearts Youth Group has headed back inside to make pizza! 🍕

Whatever activity this group gets up to, they are sure to include lively discussions on faith, with the hope of leading hearts to Jesus ❤️

Through the Soup Kitchen, hope is ignited in a community of people who live in the shadows. Homeless people hiding in stairwells, addicts who feel ashamed, and people in poverty who need their basic sustenance needs met.

Thank you for helping make this work regular and reliable for those who need it.

The people who benefit from our projects are the motivation behind the support we give. Seeing their progress, and lives restored to manageable levels, spurs us on to keep going!

The homeless are homed, people are comforted, and broken hearts are healed - souls are saved for Him - ONLY because of the working and wonderful power of JESUS.

"Every year, we choose to grow our own garden and vegetables.🫜 Beets 🥔 Potatoes 🥬 and any kind of greens "

By growing their own vegetables at the crisis centers, they save money on groceries, and ensure better quality food for their recovering mums, their growing children and their sick and elderly residents. In the growing... there's a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment for the women as they work together in the garden ❤️🌱💪🪏

Ekaterina came to our centre in a lot of pain... the pain of losing most of her family, and the subsequent addiction she fell into to ease that pain. She had lost everything.
It was an extremely long journey back to life, but she has done it!
Today she is sober, has employment, and has been reunited with eldest her daughter whom she'd been seperated from for 7 years. Thank God for the huge support of the centre who walked with her every step to reach this huge milestone ❤️🚶‍♀️

A big shout-out to our wonderful board of charity trustees.
This year, as many of you will know, has been challenging. For our trustees, it has involved many more hours of commitment and brain work than is normally required of any trustee who volunteers their time and skills.
They have been working so hard in the background and are an amazing support network - we hope they know how valued they are ❤️
Please pray for them as they seek to govern diligently and seek solutions for this time 🙏

Take a looky around the Women's Crisis Centre and its outside spaces! 👀
As a charity, we remember this place as an empty shell! We raised funds in 2018 to make the building habitable and even visited to offer hands-on help before its final completion in 2022. We've been unable to visit in recent years, so seeing inside after so long feels emotional!

Every day, around 50 women and children rely on these facilities. There are also 30 men in a separate building which is on the same land. Here, lives are lovingly put back together piece by piece.
