HAPPY NOTTINGHAMSHIRE DAY! 🏹
Today we’re celebrating everything that makes Nottinghamshire such a brilliant place to live, work, volunteer and, of course, Scout!
Here at Nottinghamshire Emergency Scout Support Team (NESST), we’re incredibly proud to support Scouting and our local communities across the county and beyond .
Since 1987, NESST volunteers have been using their skills, experience and specialist equipment to help events run safely and smoothly. From medical and first aid support, radio communications and control rooms, to logistics, event support, marshalling, search and rescue, vehicle support and so much more, our team is always ready to help when needed.
We’re often working behind the scenes, but our volunteers play a huge part in making some of Nottinghamshire’s biggest Scouting events possible — including supporting major county events and our Challenge Walks, which have welcomed more than 1,500 young people.
And it’s not just about the equipment, radios or vehicles. It’s about people.
It’s about volunteers giving up their evenings, weekends and holidays to support young people, fellow volunteers and our communities.
So today, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to every single NESST volunteer — past and present — who has given their time, skills and energy to support NOTTINGHAMSHIRE .
From Sherwood Forest to Nottingham Castle, from the Major Oak to the county’s Scout campsites… we’re proud to be Nottinghamshire.
