HAPPY NOTTINGHAMSHIRE DAY! 🏹

Today we’re celebrating everything that makes Nottinghamshire such a brilliant place to live, work, volunteer and, of course, Scout!

Here at Nottinghamshire Emergency Scout Support Team (NESST), we’re incredibly proud to support Scouting and our local communities across the county and beyond .

Since 1987, NESST volunteers have been using their skills, experience and specialist equipment to help events run safely and smoothly. From medical and first aid support, radio communications and control rooms, to logistics, event support, marshalling, search and rescue, vehicle support and so much more, our team is always ready to help when needed.

We’re often working behind the scenes, but our volunteers play a huge part in making some of Nottinghamshire’s biggest Scouting events possible — including supporting major county events and our Challenge Walks, which have welcomed more than 1,500 young people.

And it’s not just about the equipment, radios or vehicles. It’s about people.

It’s about volunteers giving up their evenings, weekends and holidays to support young people, fellow volunteers and our communities.

So today, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to every single NESST volunteer — past and present — who has given their time, skills and energy to support NOTTINGHAMSHIRE .

From Sherwood Forest to Nottingham Castle, from the Major Oak to the county’s Scout campsites… we’re proud to be Nottinghamshire.

Happy from everyone at !

Poacher International Jamboree, you were amazing!

Our team have absolutely loved spending the week with you all. They have been incredibly busy throughout the event as Incident Responders, taking on a huge variety of tasks and always being ready to help wherever they were needed.

From supporting in Control, cctv ,managing crowds and escorting vehicles, to helping secure tents and marquees, the team have been there throughout the week — at all hours of the day and night — to support the event and the people attending it.

We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them. They have worked incredibly hard, shown fantastic teamwork and professionalism, and proved just how valuable they are to an event like Poacher.

Thank you to Bog Squad for also joining us it was lovely to have support from your team.

A massive thank you to Harrogate Spring Water as well for keeping our team — and so many of the people we came across — hydrated throughout the week! 💧👏

Thank you, Poacher, for an amazing week. We’ve loved being part of it and can’t wait for the next one!
