What a glorious day šŸ˜Ž
A few flowers that caught my eye.
Pleased the Judas tree has started to flower. Also Beschornia has a huge bud.
In the Dome the Araujia Sericifer - Cruel plant seed pods are exploding and they’ll be growing everywhere!
A few from the conservatory jungle too
A lot of these plants will be for sale when we open for the NGS in August. Check out the NGS website.

A few pics from round the garden today. Everything is off now. Pleased we have flowers on the Trochodendron! And really excited that the Mountain Papaya (Vasconcellea Pubescens) has flowers for the first time. Will we get fruit?

Honeytrees Crew on a mission to pick up a Wrigley motor truck to help out in the garden!
It had been on the Montacute estate in Somerset since new and we met the original owner who told us some tales! Fully working and original. Can’t wait to try it out!
We visited Barrington Court NT owned by Colonel Lyle (golden syrup fame) and what a magnificent place it is. To the manor born was filmed here too. More importantly the daughter of the owner of the Wrigley is the assistant head gardener here so we had special treatment!
Of course we had to visit a nursery or two!
Shady Plants- Fern Nursery was an absolute delight. Set at the bottom of a valley in absolutely beautiful countryside and what friendly, welcoming people - Tony and Sylvia. We did manage to come away with quite a few gems!
Pan Global Plants was also great to meet up with Nick Macer and managed to come away with something that’s been on our wish list for years!
Desert to Jungle next and another informative visit with Rob Dudge and yet more exciting and unusual plants…..

Acquisitions on this excursion (apart from the Wrigley!) For the plant nutters…..
Lophosoria quadripinata
Hypolepis dicksoniodies
Pyrrosia Sheareri
Microsorum Fortunei
Osmunda Cinnamomea
Canna Wolfsong
Hedichium Brandy Saito
Dryopteris Kuratae
Polystichum mumitum
Polystichium setiferum plumosum densum
Polystichium setiferum prolificans
Microrsorum Formosum

Happy Easter everyone! 🐣

It’s that time of year! The garden needs manure. Enough here for us for years! The only good thing about me having a damaged shoulder is that I can’t shovel. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ’©šŸ’©
