Would you know what to do if someone went into cardiac arrest?

Around one in three people would feel confident performing CPR, while fewer than one in ten people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

When CPR and a defibrillator are used quickly, survival chances can more than double.

That’s why we offer CPR awareness sessions across South and West Northamptonshire.

Our practical sessions cover:
• Recognising cardiac arrest
• Performing CPR
• Using a defibrillator (AED)
• What to do while waiting for emergency services

Sessions are free, with donations welcome to help us continue providing life-saving training in our local communities.

We’re happy to visit sports clubs, schools and community groups. You book, we’ll be there.

You could be the person who makes the difference when every second counts.

A huge well done to everyone who took part in this year's fundraiser for the fantastic Cynthia Spencer Hospice! We were honored to have 10 members of our team out along the routes providing medical cover and keeping all the riders safe throughout the day.

A special shoutout to our very own Martin, who completed the 25-mile route on two wheels—fully equipped with his first aid kit packed along for the ride just in case!

It was amazing to see so many cyclists, volunteers, and supporters come together for such a vital local cause. Thank you to the organizers for having us, and congratulations to every single rider who crossed the finish line!

A Huge Congratulations to Anne Mason, so very much deserved! 💙🚑

A huge congratulations to Anne Mason, a Community First Responder (CFR) for the South Northants Community Responders, who was recently named runner-up at the BBC Radio Make a Difference Awards in the Volunteer category.

The awards celebrate remarkable people who make a real difference within their communities and Anne’s nomination had an especially personal meaning. She was nominated by her dad, who sadly passed away before the awards took place.

Her nomination recognised Anne’s contribution through both her work as a CFR and the work she does as volunteer for Thames Valley Police, highlighting the different ways she gives her time to support and help others. Anne has been a CFR for the past seven and a half years and responds on behalf of South Northants Community Responders from Deanshanger.

Knowing that her dad had taken the time to nominate her and share why he felt she deserved to be recognised made the occasion particularly special and is a wonderful reflection of just how proud he was of her.

Anne went on to attend the awards ceremony, where she was announced as runner-up in her category. This is a fantastic achievement and lovely recognition of the difference she makes to those around her.

Congratulations Anne, a very special and thoroughly deserved recognition.

Huge congratulations to Kim who has recently been signed off as a solo responder 🎉🎉🎉

Kim shared the following about her first few months responding ~ “get out of your comfort zone’’ they say - certainly achieved that! Thank you to all those who helped and inspired me during my period of training to become a community first responder. I hope I am able to reach the same levels of kindness, patience & expertise they all demonstrated”

Nuala, her mentor added ~ “Such great news that Kim has been signed off. We’re lucky to have Kim joining us responding in her local community and the wider Northamptonshire area. She is especially lovely with patients and eager to learn more on each shift.
Kim has lots of experience in other fields that we will all learn from too. All the best with the rest of your CFR journey”

Kim will now support her local area of Blakesley.
