This week (May 11th–17th) is Mental Health Awareness Week, and at Abbey Joggers - Northampton we’ve been celebrating the positive impact that movement, connection, and conversation can have on our wellbeing.
What started as a running club has grown into a wonderfully supportive community, where people come together to exercise, chat, laugh, and support one another. 💙
This week has already been packed with activities:
Monday – Pilates
Tuesday – Padel
Wednesday – Strength & Conditioning, plus Race 2 of the Northants 5k Series
Thursday – Club Walk / Runs & Coffee Chats
And there’s still plenty of time to squeeze in another activity or two!
A huge well done to our Return to Running group, who achieved an amazing 20 minutes of continuous running 👏
Our walking group enjoyed an impressive 6km walk, while our ever-chatty Keep Me Going group took on the canals and paths around Northampton together.
Mental Health Awareness Week is a great reminder that looking after ourselves doesn’t always have to mean big changes — sometimes it’s simply getting outside, moving a little more, sharing a conversation, or taking a moment to pause and breathe.
Whether you run, walk, stretch, chat over coffee, or just take some time for yourself today, every little bit counts. 💙
Thanks to UoN, Northamptonshire Sport, Padel Social House, The Orangery at Delapré Abbey and everyone else thats helped bring our community together this week and helped with keeping the conversation flowing.
