📣 Applications close Friday, July 3, 2026.

If you are living with ALS/MND, caring for someone who is, or are an ALS/MND gene carrier, the 2026 ALS/MND Patient Fellows Program offers a unique opportunity to help ensure lived experience is part of the conversations shaping the future of ALS/MND research, care, and advocacy.

Through virtual and in-person participation, Patient Fellows can attend the MND Association’s International Symposium on ALS/MND and may also choose to take part in the Alliance Meeting and Allied Professionals Forum.

The program is built on a simple but powerful idea: “Nothing about us without us.” By including people directly affected by ALS/MND in these global discussions, the program helps bring valuable perspectives to the forefront.

Global ALS/MND Awareness Day is June 21. đź’™

Caregivers do not often ask to be seen. They are too busy showing up: at appointments, in the middle of the night, in the quiet moments no one else witnesses.

This year's calendar was built by communities who wanted to change that.

On Sunday, we will share the images they created and we open the calendar for pre-orders.

Congratulations to Sir Kevin Sinfield on this well deserved honour!

Every year on June 21, the global ALS/MND community comes together to mark Global ALS/MND Awareness Day. đź’™

This year, we are marking it with something special.

48 images. Submitted by ALS/MND communities from around the world. Each one a reflection of caregiving — the people who show up, every day, for someone living with ALS/MND. 📸

On June 21, we reveal the winning images and open pre-orders for the 2027 ALS/MND Caregiver Calendar.

This week is an important one in the ALS MND Community globally but especially in Australia. The Big Freeze is happening for Fight MND and the funeral of Neale Daniher. Shared below is a presentation Bec Daniher made in Montreal in 2024 that talks about the roots of Fight MND and her father. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIwwHJqMjLQ

Bec ends with the profound quote "A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit"

Our sincerest condolences to Neale's family and the FightMND family!

The ALS/MND community owes a huge debt of gratitude to Neale Daniher for taking on the Beast and we will Play On in his honour towards a World free of ALS/MND!

VOTE BY JUNE 8TH | Who I Am Is More Important Than What I Do | Submitted by ALS ONE | Artist: Lyn Kirkland | Encaustic wax & mixed media on wood panel

A UK encaustic wax artist, Lyn responded to a callout from the International Encaustic Artists (IEA) organisation to take part in their “Hope Lives: Art for ALS” annual exhibition in 2025. Her artwork was inspired by the journey of the sister of one of the IEA Directors. As the eldest of three sisters herself, she was deeply affected by the story of Lynn Giovannelli and the continuing fight of her family to support research into this dreadful disease.

Her painting was selected to receive the “To Life” Award given for artwork that reflects life’s preciousness and how we can make a difference in the lives of others. 💙
