I am pleased to report that having made a personal representation to the Parish Council, on behalf of the community group that they have agreed to part fund both Diwali and Father Christmas this year. As a result both events will take place as in previous years with no change to the format. Please look out for details in the next few weeks in respect of Diwali and then how to register your child for the visit of Father Christmas and the date he will be arriving. 😀

Feel like spending half an hour with the children wandering aprund our estates over the holidays? Pick up a free activity sheet, find the letters around the estate, complete the activities and drop it off for their chance to win 1 of 5 Easter eggs, courtesy of our Community group 🐰

A massive thank you to the people who turned out this afternoon to help with the litter pick.

Unfortunately the turnout was not what we had hoped for, but we did manage to collect a lot of litter from around he largest balancing pond, Irons Road, Harrison Road, Lee Road, and most of York Way including where the cars park for entrance to the Firs.

We will arrange another in the Spring and Summer, so please try to spare an hour of your time to help keep your estate looking nice.

Please can we also encourage everyone to keep the area around your homes free from litter. If we all do our own bit, the community arranged litter picks can then focus on the communal areas.

That's us all done for another year! It was great to see all if the beaming faces and we do hope the children enjoyed see Father Christmas. We would like to thank you all for your support and generosity. We are able yo donate £110 to The Henry Allen Trust.
We hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year 🎉
